What is satanism?
Satanism is a religion where some believe in the actual deity
Satan and basically switch the Christian ideals, that the god deity
is the "evil" being and the Satan is the "righteous" being, the
other belief is atheistic paganism, where it is nature based
worship and honoring the 5 elements of life earth, water, air, fire,
and spirit. Now when you look at the egotistical satanism as I call
it, you look at the worship of the deity Satan and the demons and
archangels that would be presumed as the lesser characters to
the deity Satan. Now in this path the bible is not followed instead
they switch the stories to benefit the belief in an honorable being
of Satan. The so called "holy trinity" is not worshipped but it is
recognized to this belief and is sought to be "evil". But in the
atheistic paganism belief, there is no actual deity worship as
explained before. Instead there is the honoring and worship of
the universe and the planet earth and the 5 elements. There are
rules in this belief as well, but most would prefer to follow more
along the laws of common sense. In LaVeyan satanism a form of
this particular belief they have the 11 rules of the earth, along
with the 9 satanic statements and the 9 satanic sins, now when
you read these keep in mind that in this form of satanism Satan is
viewed as a symbolic archetype. Now for the satanists who refuse
to follow a specific form or sect as it is preferred are more free
lanced which is neo - pagan where they do not follow deities but
the see them as symbols and aspects to nature. Now in the
deitistical satanism there is dogma but for the atheistic paganism
satanism there is no dogma, no mythological stories nothing like
that, it is more based on science the study to understand our
purpose, and why certain things happen and for what reasons.
Satanism can be viewed as an anti - religion for the fact religions
have all kinds of twisted stories that science happens to destroy
with simple logic. A satanist is an advocate. A satanist will study
all religions and understand them, and when an issue arises
they are capable of solving it without any bias.
What is the Canadian Satanic Union?
The Canadian Satanic Union is an organization for any satanist
to join. We do not hold the standards others do, in other words
we don't really care whether you believe in the actual deity or
not. The Canadian Satanic Union is founded by Rev. Paul Ellis
who has been a satanists for 26 years has decided to open this
organization in the year of 2007 because he has noticed that
most satanic organizations have become more of a
shopping/publicity mall than an organization to bring satanists
together. We do not hold "Black Mass" for it is up to the individual
on which rites and rituals they wish to practice. There is no
written criteria on rituals or practice in our organization we rather
more of a personal touch to everything. For example you believe
in honoring the deity "Satan" and you wish to do a prayer well
make one for yourself that you feel comfortable with. Paul Ellis is
also a practicing magician and has been for 26 years as well and
even agrees that you cannot write down in stone a ritual for no
two people are totally alike and thus the ritual must be created by
the person for the person. We offer literature on satanism and
witchcraft/magick for those interested in this path of life. No you
do not need to become a witch/wizard to be a part of our
organization like it has been said this organization is for all forms
of satanism and thus we have no written standards to be followed
like the Christian Masses.
How do you become a member?
To become a member of the Canadian Satanic Union is quite
simple just send an email to us (a link is posted at the bottom of
the page) and request a membership. We will be replying with an
email requesting a little background information on you, nothing
to personal just why did you choose the path of satanism and if
you can explain a little about the culture/religion you grew up
with. Please do include to give us your name and at least the
province or state you live in. This is so we know a little bit more
about you, and so we can keep a track record on a statistical
amount of members in certain areas.

No we are not limited to Canada though this is where we have
our organization based to in the beginning. We are expanding
our organization world wide and hope to continue to help bring
Satanists together because we are stronger as one rather than
being separated into small groups.
